Record Breaking 24,500,000 Drill Pipe Revolutions: Effective Mitigation of Casing Wear using NRPs

NRP Performance
• A Colombian land well was drilled to18,560’ using 50BHAs over 13-months.
• The11-3/4’’casing saw acumulative24.5 million drill pipe revolutions.
• AUSIT log read the max wear to be27.5%.
• Without NRPs, wear modeling estimated the casing would have seen up to
100% wear.
• All NRPs showed normal wear and operated as intended- no incidents
relating to NRPs.
• Multiple USIT logs allowed the adjustment of NRP frequency and placement
to protect the casing and liner efficiently throughout each drilling phase
