26” FlexShoe Successfully Run to 31° Inclination

Background
An operator requested assistance running casing after increasing their well design diameter from 24”
surface casing on a previous well to 26”for greater production volume. The soft surfaces and caused poor
directional control and left little available set down weight while running casing.

A custom 26”FlexShoe, the largest to date,was delivered on time and successfully run on a more
challenging well.

FlexShoe Performance
The26”FlexShoe was run deeper through4-6°/30mdoglegs to31° inclination. The previous well had one 6°/30m dogleg and only reached14°inclination. 26” FlexShoe was cemented and drilled out with a tri-cone bit and conventional bent-motor. Minimal FlexShoe debris was recovered over thes hakers. 20”casing was run and cemented through the 26”FlexShoe as planned.
